Fronting the Future (1996)

"Fronting the Future" was a project I worked on in 1996 for the Electronic Media Group of the State University of New York at Buffalo.

"Fronting the Future" was a print publication which highlighted the university's past, present, and future, and I was given the task of converting this print publication into a electronic version. I was interested in reworking the look and organization of this project to take advantage of strengths electronic media offered and to free the project from the constraints originally placed on it by the print media format.

One of the highlights of this site is in the upper right corner. Instead of displaying a fixed hyperlink, this "hotbox," an original concept, is a constantly changing link which cycles through each of the site's subsections.
